Our guesthouse Scholastika

Our guest house "Scholastika" , located directly on the shore of Lake Chiemsee, was built in 1611 and has never been architecturally altered inside or out. This simple, tranquil building conveys a special atmosphere that invites you to pause and take a break.

Hospitality is an essential part of Benedictine life. Benedict devotes an entire chapter in his Rule to the reception of guests, who "are never lacking in the monastery". ...

We do not want to be a hotel. However, we are happy to take in guests for "quiet days of reflection and contemplation" and invite them to participate in the sisters' hourly prayers. A conversation with a sister is possible on a limited basis.

Women who want to clarify their calling for a life in our community are very welcome!
